The bars had closed, and I had just gotten back to my dorm. I was trashed, and I was hungry as hell. I found my friend Jeremy, who was also wasted, to walk with me to the 24-hr Hardee’s. Along the way, there was this medium-sized dumpster that sits along pavement between 2 dorms. Seeing the dumpster, we immediately decided to flip it over. The dumpster made a loud crash as it hit the pavement and trash spilled out. Since this was along a major street, we took off sprinting towards the center of campus. We soon ran right by someone, whom I noticed what yelling at us about 70 yards later. I stopped and realized that the person we ran by was a female campus cop, and that another cop was also approaching us. We didn’t run and they caught up to us. The female cop appeared to be shaking like she was all nervous, and she asked us, "Did you flip the dumpster?" Of course, we said no. I told her we saw someone else do it and we ran because we didn’t want to be blamed. She said that it was a big dumpster for one guy to tip and I told her that it was a big guy that did it. She asked what he looked like and where he went, so I fed her a bunch of bullshit. The other cop was smiling the whole time I talked, cause he had to know I was drunk and full of shit. She asked for student IDs and then she radioed for checks on us. I told her we didn’t run because we did nothing wrong, and that we were track stars who could easily outrun the police had we wanted to. I was ready to laugh during the whole situation. We reeked like beer and she didnt even ask ages(Jeremy was underage) or ask if we had drank anything....she was dumb as hell. She finally told us to go home. Since that day, the dumpster has been flipped many times. |
